
Pack to Open ACC Play on the Road

RALEIGH -- The NC State volleyball team is set to open conference play on the road at Clemson on Friday Sept. 22 and No. 13 Georgia Tech on Sat. Sept. 24. Both matches will be streamed on ACCNX. Entering the weekend, the 10-1 Pack sit atop the ACC with the nationally-ranked 9-1 Yellow Jackets checking in at third.Â

The Match Up
- The Pack went 1-1 against the Tigers last season, falling in S.C.
- NC State is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings and 4-1 in the last five
- In the past 10 seasons, the Pack is 1-6 when playing in Atlanta
- The Yellow Jackets hold a 29-8 record with the Wolfpack,winning the last six-straight
Streak Stays Alive
- The 10-1 start for the Wolfpack is the best start under head coach Luka Slabe
- The nine-game win-streak is the longest since the 2014 when the Pack won 12-straight
- Due to their performance in Ohio, the Pack won the Bobcat Invitational and earned some hardware before coming back to Raleigh
Big Red
- Junior opposite Amanda Rice recorded a career high 18 kills against Rutgers and Ohio
- Due to her performance at the Bobcat Invitational, she earned Tournament MVP
- With her seventh kill of the evening against George Washington, she surpassed 500 on her career
What an Honor
- Head coach Luka Slabe won the National Championship in 2001 when he played for BYU
- On Sept. 1, he and his teammates were inducted into the BYU Hall of Fame, alongside the 1999 and 2004 teams
- He was also a member of the National Championship Runner Up squad in 2003
Don't Count Them Out
- The Wolfpack rallied back from a 2-0 deficit in the second meeting with Utah Valley to record a reverse sweep
- After struggling to gain a lead in the first two sets, they went into set three with a fire under them
- Juniors Amanda Rice and Jada Allen were impact players in the final three sets
- The last time the Pack rallied back from a 2-0 deficit and won was in 2015 when they defeated Notre Dame 23-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 16-14
- The Pack is 11-15 in games it forces a fifth set after trailing 2-0
How the Table Has Turned
- A year ago, sophomore libero/defensive specialist Sydney Daniels was playing against the Pack at Elon
- Now, she started in her first game for the Pack as libero in the win over Utah Valley on Aug. 26
- She felt she has something to prove her and she's starting to make her presence known
50 Secured
- Head coach Luka Slabe marked 50 wins at the helm of the program after the team defeated George Washington
- Entering the 2023 season, he sat at a 48-35 record overall, with 27 wins over ACC opponents
- He is only the sixth coach in program history to hit the 50 win mark
