Wolfpack Claims Individual Title on Final Day of NCAA Indoor Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The NC State track and field program wrapped up action on day two of the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships with an individual national title and four other athletes earning All-American honors.Â
DISTANCE
Another day, another individual National Championship for Katelyn Tuohy. The New York native claimed her second individual national title of the weekend, turning in a time of 9:10.07 in the women's 3000m to finish first and win gold.Â
Kelsey Chmiel and Sam Bush also competed in the women's 3000m, both claiming top-10 finishes. Chmiel collected First-Team All-American honors after finishing seventh with a mark of 9:16.26 and Bush received Second-Team All-American status with a ninth-place time of 9:17.35.Â
The Wolfpack women's squad finished their indoor season ranked sixth in the country, their highest-ever finish in program history.
SPRINTS
In the men's 60m final, Alex Lang took sixth place with a time of 6.59 (6.583) and earned First-Team All-American honors.
Joshua Brockman also attained First-Team All-American status, finishing fifth with a time of 7.67 in the men's 60m hurdles final.
