Pack Primed for Tri-Meet Against Western Michigan & North Carolina

RALEIGH – The No. 23 NC State Gymnastics team returns to Reynolds Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 4, with the Pack set to host Western Michigan and North Carolina for its annual Pink Meet.
The Wolfpack enter Saturday's contest having most recently competed in a dual meet at Auburn where NC State set a season-high road score with a mark of 196.125.
A hot start for the Pack this season has included a season-high score of 196.650 in a tri-meet against George Washington and Pitt on Jan. 21, alongside a pair of program records for the highest season-opener score in program history (195.525) and the highest home-opener score in program history (196.375).
NC State has already faced off with one of its Saturday opponents this year, as the Wolfpack opened the 2023 campaign in a dual meet at North Carolina. Led by second-year head coach Danna Durante, the Tar Heels enter Saturday's tri-meet having most recently posted their highest mark of the 2023 at 196.325 in a dual meet victory over George Washington.
Western Michigan heads to Raleigh with a season-high score of 195.925 which is set in a dual meet against Bowling Green. Saturday marks an important occasion for the Broncos, as tenth-year head coach Penny Jernigan makes her return to the Triangle. Jernigan previously served as the associate head coach of the Tar Heels for 18 seasons before transitioning into her current role at Western Michigan.
Saturday's Pink Meet will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra through the Watch ESPN app and is slated to begin at 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online in addition to at Reynolds Coliseum upon entry into the meet.
