Henes, Tuohy Claim NCAA Southeast Regional Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. - Head Women's Cross Country Coach Laurie Henes and 11-time All-American Katelyn Tuohy have been named the NCAA Southeast Regional Women's Coach and Athlete of the Year, the USTFCCCA announced Tuesday.
After leading NC State to its seventh-straight Southeast Regional Title and the first women's cross country three-peat since 2005-07, Head Coach Laurie Henes garnered her eighth-straight Regional Coach of the Year Award.
The Pack took home its seventh Regional Championship in a row with a team performance of 52 points. Tuohy, Sam Bush, Grace Hartman, Gionna Quarzo, and Jenna Schulz were all named to the All-Region team after finishing inside the top-25.
Tuohy's honor comes after her first-place showing at the 2023 Southeast Regional in which she won the 6k in a course-record time of 19:29.8. With her performance, she secured her second straight individual Regional Title a week before helping lead the Pack to its third consecutive National Championship.
