Pack Wraps Up Second Day of Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field teams concluded their second day of Raleigh Relays action on Friday, collecting six podium finishes and recording a slew of personal bests.
DISTANCE
Katelyn Tuohy posted a first-place finish in the women's 1500m, running a 4:12.58 that ranks first nationally. Anna Vess and Nevada Mareno each ran top-20 national times as well, Vess' 4:18.39 (PR) ranked 11th and Mareno's 4:20.00 checking in at 17th.
Marlee Starliper ran a PR of 4:23.82 in the 1500m, and Claire Walters rounded out the group with personal-best marks with a 4:45.20.
In the men's 3000m steeplechase, Brett Gardner represented NC State with a personal-best 8:58.55.
The women's 5000m saw Sam Bush chart a personal-best time of 15:45.56, the seventh-fastest time in Wolfpack history and the second-fastest time in the country. Savannah Shaw's time of 15:47.77 ranks third in the nation, and Hannah Steelman ran a 15:54.60 that checks into the national rankings at sixth.
Jenna Schulz (16:34.55), Shannon Sefton (17:14.87) and Lulu Black (17:19.53) all tabbed PRs in the 5000m as well.
Robinson Snider was the Pack's sole competitor in the men's 10000m. The graduate student posted a time of 28:58.99 that was good for a personal best and the seventh-fastest time in program history. The time additionally checks into the national lists at 18th-fastest.
JUMPS
The NC State jumps crew collected four podium finishes on the day, the first two coming for Michelle Cobb and Jirah Sidberry. Cobb placed second, jumping 12.60m (41'4.25") while Sidberry recorded a PR of 12.49m (40'11.75"). Sidberry's mark checks into the NC State record book as eighth-best in program history and ranks 15th in the nation.
Chris Alexander took home second place in the men's triple jump, leaping 15.49m (50'10") for the eighth-best mark in the country. Jamar Davis' 15.35m (50'4.5") jump earned him a third-place finish that ranks 13th nationally.
Nahsheeda Facey competed in the women's high jump, leaping 1.55m (5'1") for a PR.
SPRINTS
Brandi Hughes kicked off the day for NC State's running events, tying her own fifth-fastest program mark with a 13.57 in the women's 100m hurdles.
On the men's side, Cameron Murray ran a 13.90 in the 110m hurdles that checks in as the 12th-fastest time in the country and earned him a second-place finish in the event. Josh Brockman also competed in the hurdles, his time of 13.99 ranking 19th nationally.
In the women's 100m, Zahra Bichara notched a PR of 12.78 while Isaiah Gadson charted a personal-best 10.55 on the men's side.
McKenzie Long set a personal record of 57.36 in the women's 400m. In the men's section of the event, Chris Jenkins ran a 49.89 for a PR.
