#Pack9 Heads To Campbell Wednesday For First Road Game Of Season

RALEIGH – No. 4 NC State baseball (8-0) will play its first road game of the season Wednesday when it makes he short trip to Buies Creek, N.C., to face Campbell (2-6) at Jim Perry Stadium. First pitch is set for 5 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
There will additionally be an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the 72nd meeting between the Wolfpack and Fighting Camels, as NC State owns a 52-18-1 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last met on March 2, 2021, in Raleigh, and the Pack earned a 14-6 win.
The record between the squads from the last 10 meetings, dating back to 2014, is even at 5-5. Additionally, the last three times the teams have played in Buies Creek, the Pack has come out on top.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State swept its series over Quinnipiac last weekend with 10-4, 12-10 (10 inn.) and 16-4 (7 inn.) wins. It marked the 19th-straight nonconference series win for the Pack.
The second game of the series is the only time this year the Pack has not scored first, but it managed to overcome a six-run deficit to win in walk off fashion and remain undefeated on the year.

NC State has outscored its opponents, 112-34, through eight games, and ranks among the top four nationally in doubles (1st, 28), hits (1st, 120), runs (2nd, 112) batting average (3rd, .390), home runs (4th, 18) and slugging percentage (4th, .675).
Additionally, it has scored double-digit runs in all eight of its contests and is averaging 14 runs a game, which leads the ACC and ranks second in the NCAA.
WHITE NAMED NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the second consecutive week, NC State freshman Tommy White has been named one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the week, announced by the publication on Monday.
Last week he went 11-for-20 with four home runs and 17 runs batted in. He tallied two or more hits in four of his five outings and matched his career high in RBIs on Feb. 25 vs. Quinnipiac with six, as he hit a grand slam and two-run homer in back-to-back at bats.
He currently leads the NCAA with nine home runs, 20 hits and 29 RBIs, and ranks second in runs scored (18) and slugging percentage (1.412).
