
NC State Concludes ACCs with Podium Finishes, All-ACC Honors

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The NC State track & field teams wrapped up action at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, collecting three podium finishes and seven All-ACC honors on the final day. Across all three days of competition, the Wolfpack totaled nine podium finishes and 22 All-ACC laurels.
The Wolfpack women placed fourth as a team with 75 points, the most for an NC State women's team since 2004. The NC State men finished 12th with 24 points.
DISTANCE
The final day of competition opened with the women's mile final, and Wolfpack junior Sam Bush notched a second-place finish in the event with her time of 4:37.09. The placement earned her First Team All-ACC honors.
In the women's 3000m, Kelsey Chmiel placed second with a 9:04.18. With the finish, the Saratoga Springs, N.Y., native earned First Team All-ACC status.
Bush continued an impressive conference-meet performance with a sixth-place finish in the 3000m, posting a time of 9:13.36 to attain Second Team All-ACC.
In the men's 3000m, Ian Harrison ran a PR of 8:05.03 to place 10th.
JUMPS
Jirah Sidberry charted a personal best in the women's triple jump with a 12.85m (42'2"). The time was not only the fourth-best in program history but earned her a third-place finish and First Team All-ACC honors in the event.
Michelle Cobb garnered Second Team All-ACC status in the triple jump, posting a 12.81m (42'0.5") mark to place fourth.
On the men's side, Chris Alexander achieved Second Team All-ACC honors with his sixth-place finish in the triple jump. He jumped 15.76m (51'8.5") for the placement.
SPRINTS
Cameron Murray took down the school record in the men's 60m hurdles final, posting a 7.73 that checks in as the 19th-best mark in the country. His time was the fourth-fastest, earning him Second Team All-ACC accolades.
THROWS
In the men's shot put Lance Penegar improved his personal best to 15.84m (51'11.75"), a mark that was good for the ninth-best throw in NC State history.

NC State will make the trip to Birmingham, Ala., for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships March 11-12.
