Track & Field to Travel to Virginia, Florida for Pair of Meets

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field programs are set for a pair of meets the weekend of April 16-17 as some members of the squad travel to Florida's Tom Jones Memorial while others make the trip to Charlottesville, Va., for the Virginia Challenge.
Sixteen NC State student-athletes will compete at the Tom Jones Memorial in 15 events while 25 will compete at the Virginia Challenge in 11 events.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolfpack traveled to Durham, N.C, to compete in the Tobacco Road Challenge April 9-10, collecting 17 podium finishes.Â
Hannah Steelman posted a school and facility record-breaking performance in the women's 3000m steeplechase, running a 9:46.35 that was good to earn her ACC Track Performer of the Week honors.
Junpai Dowdy tabbed a first-place finish in the men's 100m with a time of 10.49.Â
In the men's 110m hurdles, Joshua Brockman earned the first-place spot on the podium with his time of 14.00.
Chris Alexander claimed the gold medal in the triple jump with a 15.37m (50'5.25") mark, and in the men's long jump Von Douglas posted a 7.58m (24'10.5")(+3.1) jump for first place.Â

NC State is set to compete at the West Coast Relays in Fresno, Calif., April 29-30.
