#Pack9 Set For First Road Trip Of Season Tuesday At UNCW

RALEIGH – NC State baseball (4-9) will make its first road trip of the season Tuesday when it travels to UNCW (12-5) for a midweek contest. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Brooks Field in Wilmington, N.C., and the game will be broadcast on FloSports.TV ($).
There will additionally be a free audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the TuneIn App.

ROAD STRETCH
Tuesday marks the first in a five-game road stretch for the Wolfpack, as it will travel to No. 11 North Carolina this weekend for a three-game conference series then head to UNCG March 30 before returning home for its series with ACC foe Clemson April 2-4.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State returned to action last weekend when it hosted No. 7 Louisville in a three-game series at Doak Field at Dail Park, marking its third-straight top 20 ACC opponent it has faced this season.
The Cardinals defeated the Wolfpack, 13-1, 6-3 and 8-3, to earn its second consecutive ACC series sweep.
SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will mark the 92nd time the Wolfpack and Seahawks have met in program history, as NC State leads the all-time series, 72-19.
The teams last met on Feb. 25, 2020 in Raleigh, and the Pack earned an 11-0 shutout win.
NC State has won 15 of the last 16 meetings between the teams, including the last six contests in the all-time series.
SCOUTING UNCW
The Seahawks managed to avoid a series sweep at William and Mary on Sunday thanks to a 4-1 win in its last time out. Before dropping its doubleheader to the Tribe on Saturday, the squad was on a five-game win streak which was highlighted by a midweek win over No. 7 East Carolina on March 17.
UNCW was tabbed the preseason favorite for the South division of the Colonial Athletic Association, while Landen Roupp, Cole Weiss, Noah Bridges, Adam Smith and Luke Gesell all received preseason recognition from the conference.
Heading into Tuesday, starting pitcher Jacob Shafer owns a 5.23 ERA and has made two starts in his three appearances. In his 10.1 innings pitched on the year, he has tallied six strikeouts and has only yielded one walk.
Offensively, UNCW leads the CAA in eight different categories and is averaging 9.52 hits per game. Kip Brandenburg paces the team with a .391 clip while Brooks Baldwin owns a team-best 25 hits, eight doubles and five homers.
