#Pack9 Defeats Campbell At Home, 14-6
3/2/2021 7:52:00 PM | Baseball
Home runs by Austin Murr and Luca Tresh in the first inning helped the Wolfpack get off to a hot start, and three more runs in the second doubled the team's early lead. After tacking on a run in the fifth, a seven-run burst in the sixth gave NC State a commanding 14-0 advantage through seven complete.
The Camels managed to escape the shutout late in the game, as it scored five runs in the eighth then plated one more in the ninth.
Starting pitcher David Harrison and Matt Willadsen had strong outings on the mound to help propel the Pack to its win. Harrison did not allow a run to score in his three innings of work, while Willadsen retired 12-straight batters in the four innings he pitched to pick up the second win of his career.
