
Track & Field to Open Indoor Season at Pair of Meets

RALEIGH - The NC State track & field programs are set to open the 2021 indoor season at two meets, competing at the Winston-Salem College Kick-off and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener Saturday, Dec. 4.

Five members of the Wolfpack will travel to the Winston-Salem College Kick-off to compete in five events while 12Â NC State competitors will race in three events at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State saw eight student-athletes compete in four events at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Von Douglas represented the Wolfpack men, garnering Second Team All-America accolades in the men's long jump with a 14th-place finish.
Three Wolfpack women competed in the 5000m with program graduate Elly Henes placing third. Henes and teammate Hannah Steelman (eighth place) tabbed First Team All-America status in the event while Kelsey Chmiel placed 11th for Second Team All-America.
The women's DMR squad of Katelyn Tuohy, Alexis Postell, Anna Vess and Savannah Shaw set a school record (11:06.14) at the meet, placing seventh and receiving First Team All-America laurels.
Henes additionally competed in the women's 3000m, finishing in 12th as a Second Team All-American.
