Gymnastics Heads to Towson for Tri-Meet

RALEIGH - The NC State gymnastics team makes its first road trip of the season Friday, Jan. 22, competing at Towson with Temple at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State began its season with a 194.925 win over Pittsburgh (192.850) and had gymnasts claim individual titles on vault, bars, floor and all-around. Several members of the Wolfpack either tied or set their career bests on various events at the meet.
Sophomore Emily Shepard garnered her first East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week honors on Tuesday after a night that saw her set career highs on beam and in the all-around. Freshman Carina Jordan earned EAGL Co-Rookie of the Week as she completed the meet with a second-place finish in the all-around.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Towson opened its season with a tri-meet at Temple with Eastern Michigan and recorded its highest-ever opening score (193.925). Tigers freshman Allison Zuhlke was named EAGL Co-Rookie of the Week alongside NC State's Jordan.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
One of two institutions competing in the EAGL for the first time this season, Temple began its season with a 192.400 in a tri-meet with Towson and Eastern Michigan. The Owls' Faith Leary was named EAGL Co-Specialist of the week after posting a career-best 9.900 on floor.
