
#Pack9 Set For First Road Trip Of The Season At CambriaCollegeClassic

RALEIGH – No. 8 NC State baseball (8-0) will hit the road for the first time in 2020 this weekend, as it travels to Minneapolis, Minn. for the CambriaCollegeClassic, hosted by Minnesota at the U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings.
The Wolfpack will face Big Ten opponents Iowa (3-3) Friday at 12 p.m. ET, Purdue (6-1) Saturday at 12 p.m. ET and the Gophers (4-4) Sunday at 7 p.m. ET. All three games will be streamed on BTN+ and FloBaseball (both are subscription based), and there will be a live audio stream on WKNC 88.1 FM.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolfpack closed out its eight-game home stand to start the season with an 11-0 win over Colonial Athletics Association preseason favorite UNCW. It was the team's second shutout victory, as it tallied a season-high 15 hits and scored double-digit runs for the fourth time this season.
8-0 START
The Pack is off to an 8-0 start this season, marking the fourth time under head coach Elliott Avent the Pack has compiled a perfect record through its first eight games.
Last year, NC State had its best start in program history after going undefeated through its first 19 games. The program also got off to an 8-0 start in 2004 and '07.
NC State is currently one of 15 undefeated teams in Division I baseball, and the last undefeated squad in the ACC.
HOMECOMING
This weekend will be a homecoming for Austin Murr, as his hometown, Denmark Township, is approximately 30 minutes southeast of Minneapolis.
Dalton Feeney and Jonny Butler are also from the Midwest. Feeney is a native of Bismarck, N.D. and Butler is from Channahon, Ill., which are both approximately 430 miles from Minneapolis.

- Saturday will be the first meeting between NC State and the Boilermakers since 1987 and 14th overall matchup in series history. The Pack leads the all-time series 9-4.

- Grant Judkins, Grant Leonard and Austin Martin represented the Hawkeyes on the Big Ten Preseason All-Conference Team. Leonard was also tabbed a preseason All-American and named to the NCBWA Preseason Stopper of the Year Watch List.
- Iowa went 1-2 at the Tony Gwynn Legacy Tournament last weekend in its last time out. Its lone win was over then-18th-ranked Arizona, a 4-1 result.
- Starting pitcher Jack Dreyer owns a 2.31 ERA and 1-1 record in his two starts and 11.2 innings pitched. He leads the staff with 13 strikeouts.
- The Hawkeyes have three players batting .300 or better, led by Brendan Sher with a .350 clip. Its offense is averaging 8.66 hits and 4.66 runs a game.
- Zac Fascia, Bo Hofstra and Skyler Hunter all earned Big Ten Preseason All-Conference honors. Hofstra was also named to the NCBWA Preseason Stopper of the Year Watch List.
- The Boilermakers are on a five-game win streak, and went 3-0 to win the Campbell Invitational last weekend in its last time out. Purdue defeated host Campbell 6-4, Maine 6-2 and Villanova 7-1.
- Starter Cory Brooks leads the team with a .90 ERA and 2-0 record in 10 innings pitched. He has fanned eight batters this season and held teams to a .147 batting average.
- Fascia is currently batting .375 with nine hits, 10 runs and a .667 slugging percentage.
- The Gophers were picked to finish third in the Big Ten Preseason Poll, and had Jordan Kozicky, JP Massey and Max Meyer named to the Big Ten Preseason All-Conference Team. Meyer has been named a consensus preseason All-American, and has been picked the Preseason Big Ten Player/Pitcher of the Year by four publications.
- Minnesota picked up a midweek win over South Dakota State on Wednesday in its last time out after dropping its series with TCU last weekend.
- Jack Wassel is hitting .320 with eight hits, eight RBIs and four runs scored through seven games, while Zack Raabe has hit for a .296 average through seven games with eight hits, six runs and four RBIs.
- Pitcher Drake Davis has made three appearances out of the pen, so Sunday will be his first start of the year. He owns a 1-0 record on the year and 8.59 ERA. He is one of four pitchers on the staff with double-digit strikeouts, as he has 11 on the year.
