Gymnastics to Host Towson in Home Opener

RALEIGH - The NC State gymnastics team welcomes East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) opponent Towson to Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum Saturday, Jan. 25 at 4 p.m. The meeting marks the first time the Wolfpack competes at home this season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolfpack competed in a quad-meet at Kentucky with North Carolina and Lindenwood Jan. 17. NC State recorded a 194.425 in the meet, coming in third among the four teams.
Sophomore Meredith Robinson recorded a first-place finish and career-high on bars with a 9.875 while junior Lauren Kent notched a 9.825, tying for second-place. Overall, NC State posted a 48.775 in the event.
On beam, the Wolfpack recorded a 48.250 before moving on to floor, in which the team scored a 48.775. NC State's final rotation was vault, in which freshman Emily Shepard was part of a three-way tie for first place, recording a 9.875. The team's score in vault was 48.625.
SCOUTING TOWSON
The Tigers have a 4-0 record on the season after a 192.650 score at Penn and a 194.725 in a quad-meet with West Chester University of Pennsylvania, William & Mary and Cornell. The meet with the Wolfpack marks the first EAGL action of the season for the Tigers.
