NC State Earned Eight Ranked Victories at the Tournament
ORLANDO, Fla. – The NC State women's tennis team concluded competition at the USTA Fall Ranked Spotlight Sunday with a perfect day in doubles (2-0), highlighted by top-ranked Anna Rogers and Alana Smith picking up their second top-30 doubles win in three days with a 6-4 victory over No. 27 Catherine Gulihur and Alana Wolfberg (Oklahoma State).
No. 40 Smith defeated teammate No. 84 Adriana Reami in the main consolation final on Sunday, 6-3, 6-3. No. 8 Rogers took home fifth-place honors with a straight-set victory over ACC foe Sofia Munera (Virginia).
Rogers and Smith continued their dominance in doubles with an unbeaten record (2-0), while Jaeda Daniel and Reami captured a 6-4 victory over Nandini Sharma and Domenika Turkovic (UCF) to end the tournament on Sunday. The Pack's No. 1 doubles pair recorded their 17th and 18th ranked victories together over the course of the weekend.
Throughout the tournament the Pack collected eight ranked victories (six singles, two doubles). Three players posted winning singles records: Rogers (4-1), Smith (4-1) and Reami (3-2).
