Wolfpack Sends Five to ITA All-American Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The NC State women's tennis team is set to send five players to the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., hosted by the University of Tulsa. The event runs Oct. 5-13, with pre-qualifying beginning Oct. 5-6, qualifying on Oct. 7-8 and the main draw Oct. 9-13.
The Pack kicks off the tournament Oct. 7 in the qualifying singles and qualifying doubles as No. 59 Jaeda Daniel, No. 83 Lexi Keberle and No. 84 Adriana Reami represent the Pack in singles. Daniel and Reami enter the tournament in the qualifying round of doubles. Players must win two rounds in qualifying singles action to advance to the main draw. In doubles, Daniel and Reami need to win three rounds to secure a spot in the main draw.
Returning All-Americans No. 8 Anna Rogers and No. 40 Alana Smith earned entry into the main draw of singles and doubles portion of the ITA All-American Championships and will not begin competition until Oct. 9.

In singles, the squad boasts the most entries in the Atlantic Coast Conference (five) with UNC (five) and the second-most in the tournament along with Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Texas A&M. Tulsa and UCF will be represented by six singles players.

Rogers (4-1), Smith (4-1) and Reami (3-2) posted winning singles records at the inaugural USTA Fall Ranked Spotlight last weekend, including four victories against ranked opponents.

In doubles, top-ranked Rogers and Smith continued their dominance with a perfect weekend thanks to two wins over top-30 opponents.
