Pack Athletes Set to Compete at USATF Outdoor Championships

RALEIGH -- The NC State track and field program will be well represented at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, as Cravont Charleston, Quashawn Cunningham, and Gabriele Cunningham are set to compete in an NC State uniform. The championships begin on Thursday, July 25 and run through Sunday, July 28.

Charleston, a rising senior, will run in the opening round of the 100m dash on Thursday evening. The All-American holds the second-fastest 100m dash time (10.13, wind-aided) in school history.

He qualified for the 100m dash at the 2019 NCAA East Regional for the third consecutive season and has also claimed an ACC title in the event (2017).

Quashawn Cunningham is set to run in the 200m dash starting on Saturday in the first round. A two-time NCAA East Regional qualifier in the event, his 20.67 mark in the event ranks in the top 10 in the NC State record books.

Gabriele Cunningham rounds out the Pack competitors in the 100m hurdles. The Charlotte, N.C., native is a two-time NCAA East Regional qualifier in the event.
