Wolfpack Concludes Competition at USATF U20 Outdoor Championships

MIRAMAR, Fla. – Freshman Timara Chapman of the NC State track and field team secured heptathlon qualification to the 2019 Pan Am U20 Championships in Costa Rica (July 18-21) with her performance this weekend at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships held at the Ansin Sports Complex.

Chapman was one of two Wolfpack rookies to make a statement during the weekend, as classmate McKenzie Long earned a place in the program record book on Saturday by placing sixth in the 100m in a time of 11.48 seconds. This time ranks third in program history.

NC State's Jamar Davis also competed at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships this weekend, competing in the long jump and the triple jump.
