RALEIGH – No. 7 NC State baseball will continue its road swing Thursday when it travels to in-state conference foe Wake Forest for a three-game set. The teams will play at 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and first pitch is slated for 4 p.m. Saturday.
All three games will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra, and there will be a free audio stream on WKNC 88.1 FM.
NC State enters the weekend with a 30-8 overall record and 12-6 ledger in league play, while the Demon Deacons are 22-16 on the year and 9-9 against conference opponents.
Last Time Out
The Pack traveled to UNCW on Tuesday evening and collected a 14-7 win. After NC State jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings, UNCW plated all seven of its runs in the fifth and sixth innings to trim its deficit to two. A four-run spark in the eighth and insurance run in the ninth, along with strong work from relievers Nick Swiney and Alec Barger, allowed the Wolfpack to snap a five-game loss streak.
