
Pack Claims All-American Status at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

Elly Henes, Jamar Davis Competed for NC State Saturday
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The NC state track and field team collected two All-American honors Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, bringing the Pack's total to seven on the weekend. NC State took home All-American honors in every event it competed in.
Clocking a 9:06.36 to qualify for the championships, Elly Henes earned her second All-American accolade in as many days Saturday finishing the 3000m in 9:25.67.
The lone freshman in the triple jump field, Jamar Davis recorded a 50'10.25" jump to earn Second Team All-American honors in his first trip to the championships. His mark sits in the top-10 in school history.

The NC State track and field team will kick off outdoor track and field competition March 15-16 at the Black & Gold Challenge in Orlando, Fla.
