Clyburn Earns Second-Straight Top 20 Finish at Tar Heel Classic

LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic – Senior India Clyburn earned her second consecutive top 20 finish of the season and 16th of her career on Saturday at the Tar Heel Classic Casa De Campo, shooting a 75 (+3) in the final round to finish in a tie for ninth with a 217 (+1) on the weekend.
It was also her 10th career top 10 showing as Clyburn led the Wolfpack to an eighth-place finish out of 15 teams as the team posted a combined 303 (+15) on Saturday at Teeth of the Dog Golf Course in the Dominican Republic for an 890 (+26) in the tournament.
No. 12 Wake Forest captured the team title with a twenty-three-under par 841, while No. 16 Virginia (860, -4) and Ohio State (867, +3) rounded out the top three of the team standings.
Laura Kowohl carded the low round among the team on Saturday, firing a one-under 73 for her best round of the tournament to put her in a tie for 32nd with a 224 (+8).
Mim Sangkapong shot a four-over 76 to finish T50th with a 228, while Monika Hartl and Lea Klimentova rounded out the team's scoring in round three as they both turned in a seven-over 79. Hartl finished in a tie for 29th with a 223 (+7), and Klimentova finished T69th with a 239 (+23) out of 75 players.
NC State returns to action March 29-31 at the Bryan National Collegiate at Bryan Park Golf Course in Browns Summit, N.C.
