NC State collects two wins on the day
RALEIGH - The No. 17 NC State women's tennis team won its fifth and sixth straight home matches of the season on Saturday, defeating Utah and James Madison to remain perfect at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center this season. The Pack moves to 8-2 on the season.
The Wolfpack started the day with a hard-fought doubles win over the Utes, dropping one match but taking the point with a win by No. 60 Liz Norman and Bianca Moldovan over Emily Dush and Lindsay Hung 7-6 (5). The team didn't drop a match in singles play as four of the six matches were decided in just two sets as the Wolfpack defeated the Utes 7-0.
In a 6-1 victory over James Madison, the Wolfpack continued its strong outing with two 6-1 victories in doubles play. No. 60 Moldovan and Norman defeated Amanda Nord and Emma Petersen while Wiktorin and Reami took their match against Jona Roka and Daniela Voloh. In singles, Moldovan came back from a 1-4 deficit in the first set to win her match over Roka 7-5, 6-3.
