Coach Simon Earnshaw Says
It was a massive resume-building win for the girls today on the road to open ACC play. I think this is the first win against Virginia since 2006! Again, that shows our progress and how far we have come as a program. Overall, I wouldn't say it was our best played match thus far this spring, but we are finding ways to be more scrappy and managing to turn situations into positives. We can take a lot of heart from that, and this is something we can enjoy this evening before shifting our focus to another extremely tough road match coming up at Boston College on Sunday. Go Pack!"
The 23rd-ranked Wolfpack now holds a three-match winning streak heading into the second straight conference clash on Sunday. NC State will continue its road trip at 11 a.m. to face Boston College 9-2 (1-2).
