Charleston Garners ACC Performer of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Cravont Charleston has been named the ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. The honor marks the second time Charleston has garnered the weekly ACC award.

Clocking a 6.54, Charleston broke his own 60m dash school record for the second time this season at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational on Friday, Feb. 8. His time stands as second-fastest in the nation and is the fastest time recorded this season in the ACC. Charleston won the event with his record-breaking mark.

The Charlotte, N.C., native has won every 60m dash final he has competed in this season.

Charleston ran a 6.56 to claim gold-medal honors in the 60m dash on Jan. 25 at the Texas Tech Classic to earn ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week on Jan. 29.

The NC State men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action Feb. 15-16 at the Virginia Tech Challenge in Blacksburg, Va., and at the JDL DMR Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
