
Women’s Soccer Welcomes Notre Dame Sunday In Home Regular Season Finale

RALEIGH – NC State women's soccer (7-5-4, 2-2-4 ACC) will wrap up its regular season home slate Sunday when it hosts Notre Dame (9-5-2, 3-3-2 ACC) in a 1 p.m. matchup at Dail Soccer Stadium. The contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra, and the Wolfpack's senior class will be honored prior to kickoff.

THE SERIES
Sunday will be the ninth meeting between the Wolfpack and Fighting Irish, as Notre Dame owns a 6-2-0 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last met on Sept. 30, 2018, in South Bend, Ind., and the Pack suffered a 2-1 loss.
The last time the teams met in Raleigh was for the ACC Championship Quarterfinal on Oct. 29, 2017, and NC State won, 4-1, highlighted by Tziarra King's first career hat trick.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State defeated Syracuse, 3-2, in overtime at home on Thursday night. Syracuse scored early, but thanks to goals by Krissi Schuster and King the Pack held a 2-1 advantage going into the locker room. The Orange knotted the score early in the second half, but Kia Rankin scored the golden goal in the 93rd minute.
SCOUTING NOTRE DAME
Notre Dame has earned a win or draw in four of its last five outings, and is tied for sixth in the ACC standings with three wins and two ties in conference play. Its lone loss in its last five matches was a 3-0 result at No. 1 Virginia.
Sammi Fischer and Eva Hurm pace the squad with five goals each, while five other players have scored multiple goals this year. In goal, Brooke Littman and Mattie Interian have combined for nine shutouts and a .85 goals-against average.
