
Women’s Golf Opens Landfall Tradition With Season-Low 291

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The NC State women's golf team opened play at the Landfall Tradition on Friday at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C., with a three-over par 291 for its best 18-hole score of the fall season.
Natalie Armbruester, Lea Klimentova and Mim Sangkapong all turned in an even par 72 to propel the Wolfpack to its strong first-round total. For Armbruester, she matched her career low for the third time this semester.
NC State is in seventh place out of 18 teams, while No. 13 Alabama and No. 18 Illinois are tied at the top of the leaderboard at 285 (-3).
The top three team scorers are all in a tie for 15th out of 96 players, while Monika Hartl is in a tie for 49th place after carding a three-over 75. Additionally, Pilar Berchot shot a six-over 78 and is in T81st among the individual standings.
The Pack will continue competition at the Landfall Tradition Saturday. It will tee off hole one between 8:30 and 9:06 a.m. with No. 23 Virginia Tech and No. 17 Oklahoma State.
