Drew Grantham Collects Three Podium Finishes
RALEIGH – The No. 25 NC State gymnastics team posted a 194.925 in its home opener inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum against No. 15 Ohio State on Saturday. The Buckeyes defeated the Wolfpack, 196.025-194.925. Six Wolfpack gymnasts earned a place on the podium.

Alexa Phillips got the Wolfpack off to a solid start, posting a 9.825 on vault to tie for first place in the event. Caitlyn Fillard and Paris Phillips recorded scores of 9.800, while Drew Grantham recorded a 9.775.
Maggie Tamburro led NC State on bars with a score of 9.825. Lauren Kent's 9.775 was the Pack's second best effort of the day. Grantham and Meredith Robinson both recorded scores of 9.750.
Alliah Harrison and Grantham earned the highest scores on beam for the Pack, as they both recorded scores of 9.825 to tie for second place in the event. Nicole Webb posted a 9.775, Fillard posted a 9.750, and Kasey Nelson posted a 9.700.
Grantham finished third overall on floor with a score of 9.825. Alexa Phillips recorded a 9.800 and Melissa Brooker recorded a 9.725.
Grantham and Fillard competed all-around for NC State. Grantham posted a 39.175, which positioned her in a second-place tie, while Fillard posted a 38.725.

The NC State gymnastics squad will travel to Towson, Md., on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. to compete in a quad-meet hosted by Towson with William & Mary and Cornell.
