RALEIGH --Â The NC State gymnastics team (1-1) travels to Towson, Md., to compete in a quad-meet at Towson (0-2) with William & Mary (0-0) and Cornell (0-4) on Jan. 18. Facing Towson, the Wolfpack will compete in its first Eastern Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) meet of the season.

Coming off a season-high score of 194.925 against No. 15 Ohio State, the Wolfpack is trending up, as the team recorded 14 season-highs this past Saturday. Through its first two meets, NC State has collected 13 podium finishes, including four event titles (vault, bars, beam, all-around).
Scouting the Squads
Towson (0-2)
The Tigers posted a 190.225 at the Little Boston Invitational to open its season, dropping the meet to Temple (194.700) and Penn State (195.150). Freshman Emerson Hurt claimed the beam title at the meet, recording a 9.875.
Towson returns five seniors, including 2018 NCAA Raleigh Regional all-around qualifier Mary Elle Arduino. Arduino won the EAGL individual title on beam in 2018, posting a 9.950.Â
William & Mary (0-0)
William & Mary will open its season on Friday. In 2018, the Tribe earned a second-place finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships. Katie Waldman and Taylor White qualified for all-around competition at the 2018 NCAA Raleigh Regional.
Cornell (0-4)
The Big Red competed at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 13, posting a 190.750 against North Carolina (194.175), the host Colonials (193.525), and Ball State (193.200).
Last Time Out
The NC State gymnastics team posted a 194.925 in its home opener inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum against No. 15 Ohio State on Saturday. The Buckeyes defeated the Wolfpack, 196.025-194.925. Six Wolfpack gymnasts earned a place on the podium.
Junior Drew Grantham's performance in the meet earned her a tie for second place in all-around competition. The four-time All-EAGL honoree was named the EAGL's Gymnast of the Week.
