
Women’s Golf Prepped For San Francisco Regional

RALEIGH – The NC State women's golf team is set to play at the NCAA Regional Championship Monday through Wednesday in San Francisco, Calif., making its 16th postseason appearance in the past 17 seasons.

Tournament Format: 54 holes (18 each day)

Tee Times: NC State will tee off hole one Monday between 11:50 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. ET with Colorado and Louisville. Tee times the last two rounds will be based on scores from the previous round.
Advancing To The NCAA Championship
The top six teams and three individuals (not on a qualifying team) from each of the four regional sites will advance to the NCAA Championship in Stillwater, Okla., which will take place May 18-23 at Karsten Creek Golf Club.
The Pack has advanced to the NCAA Championship three out of the last six years, with its last appearance coming in 2015.
2017-18 Regular Season Recap
NC State finished in the top 10 in nine of its 10 tournaments this year, including a team victory at the Ocean Course Invitational in Sept. 2017. The team has earned a combined 16 top 20 individual finishes and shot 15 under par rounds, led by Laura Kowohl who has turned in five top 20 finishes and as many under par rounds. The Pack compiled an 85-58-2 overall head-to-head record in the regular season.
Last Time Out
The Pack finished eighth out of 12 teams at the ACC Championship with a tournament total of 895 ( 31). Kowohl garnered her fifth top 20 showing of her career and best outing at an ACC Championship, as she finished in a tie for 12th with a 219 ( 3) for the tournament. Her 54-hole score is the fourth-best in program history at an ACC Championship.
