
Women’s Golf In Sixth After First Two Rounds Of Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The NC State women's golf team turned in scores of 292 and 301 on Friday at the Bryan National Collegiate to sit in sixth place out of 18 teams with a 17-over par 593.
Hosted by Wake Forest and UNCG at Bryan Park Champions Course, UNC-Chapel Hill leads the field with a 587 (+11), while Furman is one stroke back in second while Auburn and Tennessee share a tie for third at 589.
Naomi Ko, India Clyburn and Laura Kowohl all sit among the top 20 of the player standings. Ko leads the team with a five-over 147 (73-74) to share a tie for 13th while Clyburn and Kowohl are T16th at 148 with rounds of 72 and 76.
Cecily Overbey shot 75-75 to sit at T32nd with an eight-over par 150, while Mim Sangkapong is at T84th with a 162 (+18) after turning in an 81 in both rounds.
Monika Hartl, who is competing as an individual, shot 81-79 to sit at T81st with a 16-over par 160.
The teams will attempt to wrap up competition Saturday in an 10 a.m. shotgun start, with the weather permitting. If the weather doesn't allow for play Saturday, the final 18 holes will be contested Sunday in a shotgun start.
