Wolfpack Track & Field Sends 11 To Virginia Grand Prix

RALEIGH, N.C. - As the 2018 Penn Relays continues, the NC State track and field team will also send a select group of athletes to the Virginia Grand Prix hosted by the University of Virginia Saturday evening. Competition will take place at Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Va.Â
NC State will have a group of its sprinters and three of its men's distance runners competing at the meet and looking to post marks that will qualify them for the ACC Outdoor Championships. Office assistant Tristine Johnson will also be competing unattached in the long jump, the 100m, and the 200m.
A schedule of the Wolfpack's events at the Virginia Grand Prix is below:
5:10 PM - Women's 100m Hurdles
5:32 PM - Women's 100m
5:42 PM - Men's 400m
5:52 PM - Women's 400m
6:25 PM - Women's 400m Hurdles
6:47 PM - Men's 200m
7:02 PM - Women's 200m
7:17 PM - Men's 1,500mÂ

NC State will make the trip to Stanford, Calif. for the Payton Jordan Invite on May 3. The meet will serve as a final tune up for the Wolfpack athletes before postseason competition begins.Â
