RALEIGH, N.C. – Fresh off an exciting 19-15 home win over #8 Virginia Tech that decided the 2018 ACC Dual Championships, the #6 NC State wrestling team and makes the quick turnound hosting #2 Ohio State Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.

NC State has eight of its 10 starters ranked this week, including five in the top-10 and four in the top-five. Ohio State has all 10 starters ranked with nine in the top-10 and five in the top-five.

• NC State and Ohio State have not faced off since 1993.
• With Friday night's win vs. #8 Virginia Tech, NC State claimed its first ACC Dual Championships since 2004, and finished undefeated in ACC dual action for the first time since 2000.
• NC State ranks second nationally in dual winning percentage over the last three seasons (51-4, .927). Only Penn State (43-0) ranks above the Pack.

• NC State's 15-1 dual record is the second-best in school history (23-1 in 2016).
• NC State finished 5-0 in ACC action, and outscored its foes 132-44 – winning 36 of the 50 matches. Over the last three seasons, NC State has outscored ACC foes 384-155 in going 13-2.
• On the season, the Pack has outscored its first 16 opponents 513-114 (32.1-7.1) and has won 126 of the 160 (78.8%) individual matches in those duals. 69 of the 126 wins have been for bonus points.
• The Pack's 10 ranked in the NCAA Coaches' Panel Rankings are a combined 98-18 (84.5%) in duals this year.
• NC State had six senior starters, all ranked in each of the first two NCAA Coaches' Panel Rankings. During their career, those six have combined for 466 career wins, all with at least 60.
• Sr. Kevin Jack (141) finished his ACC dual career with a perfect 16-0 record. The two-time defensing ACC champion outscored his opponents 110-19 (with a pin in which he was leading 16-0) and did not allowed a single takedown over the last two seasons.
• Jack became the fifth NC State wrestler to record 100 career wins, he is now 14 shy of the school record. Redshirt-senior Pete Renda (184) also has a chance at 100, as he currently has 92. If Renda accomplishes the feat, they will be the first pair of teammates to notch their 100th career wins in the same season.
• R-Fr. Hayden Hidlay (157) is one 14 wrestlers in D1 still undefeated, and one only two freshmen (both redshirts and true) nationally in all weight classes still undefeated (Alex Marinello, Iowa – 165). He is 19-0 on the season, with 13 bonus point wins.
• NC State has had four wrestlers combine for six ACC Wrestler of the Week honors. Jack was named after the first week, Hidlay has won the award a league-best three times R-Fr. Tariq Wilson (133) won after his top-5 win vs. Virginia, and R-Sr. Pete Renda (184) was the most recent with his major against North Carolina.

Fausz has returned to the Pack's lineup for two straight ACC foes, outscoring them 31-2. Fausz holds wins over two current-top eight wrestlers, #7 Piccininni of Oklahoma State (9-5) and #8 LaMont of Utah Valley (8-3). Tomasello wqas the 2015 NCAA Champion at 125, and added All-American honors each of the last two seasons. He has three top-13 wins this season, and his only loss is to current #3 Lee of Iowa (3-2).

Renda suffered his first loss of the season Friday night vs. #8 Zavatsky, 3-2. He is 14-1 in duals this season, and has three wins over ranked foes – best was vs. #6 Venz of Nebraska (9-6). Martin was the 2016 NCAA Champion at 174 pounds as a freshman, and an All-American last year at 184 pounds with a fifth finish. Martin's only loss this season was to #1 Nickal of Penn State 10-2. The two faced off twice last season, as Renda won in folkstyle at the Midlands Championships, 9-2, while Martin won over the summer in freestyle.

On NC State's Senior Night, the 2018 ACC Dual Championship came down a battle of ranked heavyweights Friday night in Reynolds Coliseum.

NC State's #19 Sr. Michael Boykin scored the bout's lone takedown 20 seconds into OT and propelled the #6 Wolfpack (15-1, 5-0 ACC) to a 19-15 win over #8 Virginia Tech (14-3, 4-1) as the Pack claimed the 2018 ACC regular season title.

The two teams split the 10 matches, but a pair of 15-0 NC State tech falls at both 125 and 141 pounds proved to be the difference.Â

NC State finished undefeated in ACC dual action for the first time since 2000, and claimed the ACC Dual Championships for the first time since 2004. The Wolfpack also snapped Virginia Tech's 19-match ACC winning streak which dates back to the 2014 season.

Over the last three seasons, NC State boasts the second best dual winning percentage in the NCAA, having won 51 of the last 55 (.927). Only Penn State, at a perfect 43-0, sits ahead of the Pack.

Among the Undefeated
In NCAA D1 Wrestling, there are 14 wrestlers still undefeated including NC State redshirt-freshman Hayden Hidlay a perfect 19-0 at 157 pounds. Hidlay is one of only two freshmen nationally (both redshirt and true) in all weight classes still without a loss (Alex Marinelli - Iowa - 165).

Series vs. Ohio State
Sunday's matchup is only the fourth all-time between NC State and Ohio State since the ACC was formed in 1953-54. Ohio State leads the all-time series 2-0-1, with the teams last meeting in 1993 with a 27-15 Buckeyes decision.
