Wolfpack Set To End Regular Season At UCS Invitational

RALEIGH - The NC State track and field team will conclude its regular indoor season at the UCS Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Friday and Saturday.

The meet is the Wolfpack's last before the ACC Indoor Championships, which is set to begin next week, and it is the final chance for members of the team to post conference qualifying marks. NC State is set to bring a group of distance runners to the meet, with redshirt senior Erika Kemp making her season debut in the women's 3000m. Joshua Davis, Lauren Evans, Tyson Fortenberry will represent the Wolfpack in field events.

The UCS Invitational will be broadcast live for fans who purchase a subscription. The stream will be focused on events taking place on the track oval, with the possibility of select field events being shown.

NC State competed at the Tiger Paw Invitational and Iowa State Classic last weekend, adding two ACC qualifying marks. The Wolfpack posted impressive performances on the national level as well. Gabriele Cunningham became the record holder of two school records in the 60m (7.31) and 60m hurdles (8.05), with her hurdles mark putting her sixth in the nation in the event. Dylan Peebles ran a 20.87 in the 200m to take over the third-best time in program history. Peebles' time sits at first in the ACC and 11th nationally.

QUALIFYING MARKS:
Gabriele Cunningham (60m hurdles), Dylan Peebles (200m), and Joshua Davis (weight throw) all have marks that sit in a national qualifying position. NC State is also set to be well-represented at the ACC Indoor Championships next weekend, with 36 conference qualifying marks having been achieved across 19 different events.
