Rachel Cox put the Pack on the board in the 15th minute of the match, taking advantage of an open opportunity when Elon's goalkeeper was out of position after making a save on an attempt by Kia Rankin.

Paige Griffiths doubled the Pack's score in the 34th minute with a shot from the left side of the box that finished in the top right corner of the net. Tziarra King extended the lead to three in the 50th minute with a shot from the six-yard box to the left corner off of Rankin's cross.

In the 72nd minute Mikhail Johnson scored the first goal of her career, as King's scoring attempt was saved and the goalkeeper was out of position to give her an open shot. Ricci Walkling got the final tally of the match in the 89th minute on a shot inside the 18-yard box.

Grayson Cameron earned her first start of the season in the net, saving all three of Elon's shots.
As a team NC State outshot the Phoenix 18-3 with 12 of them on goal, tying its season best.
UP NEXT
The Pack will host ECU Thursday at Dail Soccer Stadium in its first of a five-match home stand. Kickoff is 7 p.m. and the contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
