NC State Travels To Notre Dame Sunday

RALEIGH – The No. 24/23 NC State women's soccer team (8-1-1, 1-0-1 ACC) will face its first road test against a conference opponent this season when it travels to No. 26/18 Notre Dame (5-3-2, 1-1-0 ACC) Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is 1 p.m. and the match will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State hosted Boston College on Thursday evening and earned a 1-0 win, marking its first conference victory of the season. Tziarra King scored the game-winner with 40 seconds left in the match on a double assist by Hannah Keogh and Lulu Guttenberger. She made a strike from 30 yards out and the ball finished in the top left corner of the net.
SERIES HISTORY
Sunday will mark the sixth time in program history the teams have met as Notre Dame holds a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series. The teams met in Raleigh during the regular season last year and the Pack dropped a 1-0 result.
PACK ATTACK
NC State has scored 21 goals this season from as many assists, ranking among the top 30 of the NCAA in total goals, points and assists. The team also ranks in the top three of each category in the ACC.
Five Wolfpack players are multi-goal scorers while eight others have made their way onto the score sheet with either a goal or an assist.
ZEE TAKEOVER
King has made a name for herself in the 2017 season thanks to her impressive play. She currently leads the team with seven goals while that mark also ranks third in the ACC and 14th in the NCAA standings. Through just 10 matches she has almost matched the number of goals she scored last year (8).
ROAD STRETCH
NC State's match at Notre Dame is the first of a four-match road stretch. The Pack will face Florida State, Duke and Pittsburgh before returning home Oct. 14 for its matchup with Syracuse.
The Pack is undefeated on the road this season with a 3-0 ledger.

The Fighting Irish are coming off of a 3-0 loss to No. 4 Duke, which was contested on Thursday evening in South Bend. The result marked its first conference loss of the season as the Irish opened ACC play with a 4-2 win at No. 11 Clemson on Sept. 16.
Notre Dame ranks second in points (12) and goals (4) against conference opponents, as Natalie Jacobs leads her team with six goals this season. The team is outshooting its opponents 172-110 and outscoring them 20-10.
