RALEIGH – The No. 30/21 NC State men's soccer team (3-2-1, 1-1-0 ACC) continues its march through one of the most challenging schedules in the nation on Saturday evening by hosting No. 4/6 Wake Forest. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Dail Soccer Stadium with live coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.

Saturday's match will mark NC State's third contest against a team ranked within the national top five during the first month of the 2017 season.

-Youth night: pre-match clinic from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

LAST MATCH
In the first meeting between the two programs at Elon's Rudd Field, No. 30/21 NC State earned a 0-0 road draw in double overtime at undefeated Elon Tuesday evening.

Each side had one quality scoring chance in the final overtime period. NC State's Julius Duchscherer was stopped at point-blank range by an impressive kick save from Elon goalkeeper Matthew Jegier in the 103rd minute and Wolfpack freshman goalkeeper Leon Krapf came up big in the 110th, tipping a header by Tuki Tayali over the bar with 10 seconds remaining in the contest.

NATIONALLY RANKED
NC State entered the national rankings in both polls for the first time this season on Sept. 19, coming in at No. 30 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and No. 21 in the Soccer America rankings.

TAB RAMOS MAKES AN APPEARANCE
Former Wolfpack All-American and current United States U20 Men's National Team Coach Tab Ramos will be at Saturday's match against Wake Forest. Ramos was an All-American at NC State in 1985, 1986, and 1987. He earned All-ACC First Team mentions in each of those years after earning a Second Team
honor as a freshman in 1984. The Wolfpack made four NCAA Tournament appearances during his career, with Ramos scorÂing 31 goals and contributing 42 assists throughout his time in the Wolfpack Red & White.

A three-time member of the U.S. World Cup teams in 1990, 1994, and 1998, Ramos played in 81 matches for the United States. Ramos has served as the head coach of the U.S. U-20 MNT since 2011. During this time, he's led the team to three World Cup berths highlighted by quarterfinal appearances in 2015 and 2017.

-No. 1 scoring offense in the nation (2.88 goals per match).
-On average, out-shooting opponents 18.6 to 5.5 per match.
-Seniors Jon Bakero and Luis Argudo lead the team with five goals each.

-The Demon Deacons return seven starters from a 2016 team that went 19-3-3, won the ACC Championship, and finished as a runner-up in the College Cup.
