- NC State and Virginia Tech will meet for the first time since the 2014 season. The Wolfpack traveled to Blacksburg for the three-game series and won the first two games to clinch the series win.
- Wolfpack head coach Elliott Avent earned his 1,000th career victory against North Carolina Central Tuesday evening to become one of 15 active coaches in the NCAA with 1,000 or more career wins.
- NC State pitchers have posted back-to-back shutouts for the first time since March 8-9, 2014. The Wolfpack's staff has not allowed a run since the seventh inning of game three in the Boston College series.
