NC State will face the winner of No. 12 seed Boston College versus No. 13 Virginia Tech. The team cruised past Boston College earlier this season, winning by a 6-1 decision, while the Pack fell narrowly to Virginia Tech with a 4-3 result.

Additionally, the Wolfpack tied its second-highest conference finish, placing fifth. The team also earned its highest rank in program history this year, peaking at No. 16 in the polls.
