
Women’s Golf Moves Up To Fifth After Second Round Of ACC Championship

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - The No. 20 NC State women's golf team moved up one spot in the team standings at the ACC Championship on Friday, sitting in a tie for fifth with Miami through two rounds after posting a 289 (+1) for a combined 586 (+10) on the week.
Held at The Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C., Duke continues to lead the field at 570 (-6) and Clemson and Florida State share second place with 579 (+3).
Laura Kowohl jumped 12 spots up the leaderboard to sit among the top 10 at sixth of the after turning in a two-under 70 for a two-day total of 143 (-1).
Sarah Bae moved into the top 20 after carding a 72 (E) in the second round to share a tie for 20th at 146 (+2). Leonie Bettel shaved three strokes off of her first round score to move up to 32nd in the standings, finishing with a one-over 73 for a 36-hole total of 149.
Naomi Ko turned in a 74 to sit one place back from Bettel with a six-over par 150, and India Clyburn rounded out the Pack's lineup with a 78 for a 152 (+8) total to sit in 39th overall.
NC State will wrap up play Saturday at the ACC Championship, and will be paired with competitors from Miami and Florida State between 8:30 and 9:10 a.m. The round will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra from 1 p.m. through the end of play.
