Women’s Golf Ready For ACC Championship

RALEIGH – The No. 20 NC State women's golf team is set to play in the 2017 ACC Championship this week at The Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.

The championship will run Thursday through Saturday as the Wolfpack enters the competition as the No. 5 seed. NC State is coming off of a strong spring season with four top five finishes, including a win at the Puerto Rico Classic and season-best 282 (-6) in its dual match at Hawai'i.

Format: 54 holes (18 holes Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
Tee Times: NC State will be paired with competitors from No. 17 Miami and No. 30 UNC-Chapel Hill between 9:40 and 10:20 a.m. Thursday. Friday and Saturday's pairings will be based on placement from the prior round.
Live Scoring: Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com.
Broadcast Info: The tournament will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra starting at 2:00 p.m. Friday and 1:00 p.m. Saturday, and run until the end of play each day.

NC STATE AMONG THE ACC
-The Pack will face a strong field this week as eight teams in the conference are listed in the top 50, including five in the top 25 of the latest GolfWeek rankings.
-When going head-to-head with ACC teams, NC State boasts a 15-7-1 record this year in tournament play.
-India Clyburn and Naomi Ko are two of nine players in the conference that have won, or tied for, 16 individual titles during the 2016-17 season.
-NC State has finished in the top three at the ACC Championships on four separate occasions. Its best showing was a runner up finish in 2013 with a 906 (+54).

WOLFPACK LINEUP
1 - India Clyburn (So.)

Has finished as the low player in six of the team's eight competitions, posting seven top 20 finishes.
She is ranked 24th in the latest GolfWeek national player rankings with a 71.8 scoring average.

2 – Sarah Bae (Sr.)

Holds a 73.3 scoring average for the spring season, posting four rounds of even par or better.
Has finished in the top 20 in three of the team's five competitions this spring.

3 – Naomi Ko (So.)

Has played a consistent role in the Pack's lineup, as 10 of her 13 rounds have counted towards the team tournament total this spring.
Finished in a tie for fifth at ACCs last season with a team-low 216 (E).

4 – Leonie Bettel (So.)

Fired a season-best 69 on the final day of the Bryan National Collegiate, the second-lowest round of her career, to finish T6th overall.
Has been a member of the lineup for all five tournaments this spring, holding a 73.8 average.

5 – Laura Kowohl (So.)

Saw action in the last two tournaments NC State has played in, with five of her six rounds counting towards the team's tournament total.
Of her six rounds, she has carded a one-over 73 in three of them.
