Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth At ACC Championship

Bae garners fourth top 20 finish of season
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - The No. 20 NC State women's golf team wrapped up play on Saturday at the ACC Championship with a final round score of 302 (+14) to finish with an 888 (+24) and take sixth in the overall standings.
Duke captured the team title with a five-under 859, and the Blue Devils' Leona Maguire took the individual title with a six-under 210 (68-72-70). Florida State and Miami rounded out the top three with scores of 868 and 874, in respective order.
Senior Sarah Bae turned in the low round for the Pack with a one-under 71, garnering her fourth top 20 finish of the year. She concluded the tournament with a 217 (+1) to tie for 11th in the standings. Laura Kowohl finished in a tie for 25th with a 54-hole total of 221 (+5). She turned in a six-over 78 on the final day of play.
India Clyburn and Leonie Bettel tied for 33rd overall with a 227 (+11). Clyburn shaved three strokes off of her second round score to turn in a 75 (+3) while Bettel posted a 78 (+6). Naomi Ko shot 79 in the final round, rounding out the Pack's lineup with a 229 (+13) to finish T43rd for the week.
NC State will await its fate for the NCAA Regional Championship, which will be held May 8-10.
