Women’s Golf Begins NCAA Regional Play Monday

RALEIGH – The No. 19 NC State women's golf team is set to play at the NCAA Regional Championship Monday through Wednesday in Albuquerque, N.M., making a postseason appearance for the 15th time in 16 seasons.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Course: UNM Championship Course – hosted by the University of New Mexico
Par: 72
Yards: 6,637
Format: 54 holes (18 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
Tee Times: NC State will be paired with competitors from Miami and Oklahoma State off hole one between 10:24 and 11 a.m. ET (Albuquerque is in the Mountain Time Zone and is two hours behind Eastern Time)

POSTSEASON PROCESS
-The Albuquerque Regional is one of four 54-hole regional tournaments to be played around the nation May 8-10.
-The top six teams and three individuals (not on a qualifying team) from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship in Sugar Grove Ill., which will take place May 19-24 at the Rich Harvest Farms.
-The Wolfpack has had recent success at the national level, advancing to the NCAA Championship in three of the last five years.
2016-17 SEASON RECAP
-As a team NC State has collected eight top 10 finishes this year, including a team win at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on Feb. 12-14 and a season low 282 (-6) in its dual match with Hawai'i.
-In its last time out the Wolfpack finished sixth at the ACC Championship, highlighted by Sarah Bae (T11) and Laura Kowohl's (T25) top 25 finishes.
-India Clyburn has had a stellar sophomore campaign, as she is listed at No. 29 in the latest national player rankings with a 72.2 stroke average. She has garnered seven top 20 finishes and turned in 15 rounds at even par or better.
