RALEIGH, N.C. - Fresh off a 23-15 defeat of No. 25 Pitt Friday night, the No. 8 NC State wrestling team will host its final regular season dual of the season Sunday at 1 p.m. when West Virginia comes to Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack (11-1) will be celebrating Senior Day, honoring five student-athletes prior to the dual.

• For the 12th consecutive poll to open the 2016-17 season, NC State is ranked in the top-10 in the USA Today/NWCA Wrestling Coaches poll. NC State is currently ranked a season-best No. 8 for the second straight week, after spending seven weeks at No. 9 and three weeks at No. 10.
• NC State has an ACC-best nine of its 10 starters ranked in the first NCAA Coaches' Panel Rankings.
• With an 11-1 start in duals in 2016-17, NC State has won 34 of its last 36 duals dating back to the beginning of last season (23-1 last year). Over the last two seasons, the Pack is a perfect 13-0 in road duals, four wins over ranked foes.
• The Pack's 11-1 start in duals ties as the second-best start to a season in the NCSU record books (accomplished three other times, most recently in 1982), and sits only behind last year's 11-0 start.
• Both R-Sr. Sam Speno - 149 (7-0, 3-0 ACC) and junior Kevin Jack - 141 (10-0, 4-0 ACC) remain perfect in dual action this year.
• Jack's current 23-match winning streak ranks as the eighth longest winning streak in school history. Last week, Jack scored back-to-back top-10 wins over ACC foes - #3 Joey Ward, UNC (10-4) and #7 George DiCamillo, UVA (10-1).
• In the Pack's probable lineup vs. West Virginia, only R-So. Sean Fausz (125), R-So. Jamal Morris (133) and Jr. Kevin Jack (141) are returning starters from last year's ACC Championship squad. In addition to those three, NC State has two true freshmen, three others that redshirted 2015-16, and a pair that were back-ups last year among its 2016-17 starters.
• Fausz, a 2016 NCAA Qualifier, made his season debut at 125 pounds last week at UNC. He previously went 16-4 at 133 pounds during the first semester.

McDonald comes in the WVU dual having won six straight matches, and is 7-2 in duals this season. McDonald is 2-2 vs. ranked foes thie year, with wins over #12 and #13 earlier this season. Smith is a two-time NCAA Qualifier each of the last two seasons at 197, and was ranked as high as No. 7 last year. In last year's dual vs. NC State Smith was upset by Michael Boykin, 5-3 in extra time.
Series vs. West Virginia
This marks only the second-ever meeting between NC State and West Virginia, and the first meeting in Raleigh. Last year, the Pack won in Morgantown 24-9 in late January.
