Wolfpack looks to improve to 6-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team will take on the Duke Blue Devils Sunday afternoon in an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matchup inside Reynolds Coliseum. First serve is slated for 4 p.m. and the contest will be broadcast live on Regional Sports Network (RSN).

NC State heads into the contest with a 10-6 overall record, highlighted by a perfect 5-0 mark in conference play, matching the best for the program since 2012. Duke is 11-5 on the year and 3-2 in league matches.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth (17 or younger). Admission is free for children age two or younger.

After playing one of the nation's toughest schedules through the first month of the season, NC State is listed at No. 37 in the first NCAA Rating Percentage Index (RPI) released Monday afternoon.

The Wolfpack's listing is the highest for the program since 2013 when the squad checked in at No. 36 in the ranking on Oct. 28, 2013. Last year, NC State also made a statement in the first RPI as the squad was listed No. 88 after finishing the 2015 season at 154.

Duke owns an 11-5 mark heading Sunday's matchup, as the squad fell 3-1 at UNC-Chapel Hill Friday night. The Blue Devils won the first set, but the Tar Heels claimed the next three to earn the win.

The Wolfpack won the last meeting between the teams to conclude the 2016 season, 3-1, which snapped a streak of four consecutive victories in the series for the Blue Devils.

Cadie Bates leads a balanced Duke offensive attack with 175 kills, averaging 3.13 kills per set. Payton Schwantz is right behind her with 182 kills and Samantha Amos owns 120 kills.
