Women’s Golf To Play In Tar Heel Invitational This Weekend

RALEIGH – The NC State women's golf team will play in its third tournament of the fall this weekend when it makes the short trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational.
The tournament field features 11 programs that currently rank among the top 50 of the latest GolfWeek rankings, as this will be the toughest field NC State has faced this season.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Course: Finley Golf Course – hosted by UNC-Chapel Hill
Par: 72
Yards: 6,379
Live Scoring: Live scoring will be available through GolfStat.com
Format: 54 holes (18 Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Tee Times: Tee times for the first two rounds will begin at 8:51 a.m. on holes one and 10, while Sunday will be a 9:15 a.m. shotgun start. NC State will tee off between 9:09 and 9:45 a.m. on hole 10 Friday, and will be paired with competitors from South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State finished 10th at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship on Sept. 18-19 in Knoxville, Tenn. Laura Kowohl paced the squad as she finished in a tie for 19th overall with a one-over par 214, while Cecily Overbey and Naomi Ko also finished among the top 50 of the individual standings.
LAST YEAR AT THE TAR HEEL INVITATIONAL
Last year at the tournament the Pack finished fourth out of 18 teams with a two-over par 866. India Clyburn posted a sixth-place finish with a three-under 213 while Overbey garnered a top 30 finish with a five-over 221.
