Wolfpack Hosts Duke in Friday’s ‘Break the Record’ Night

RALEIGH – A winner in two of its last three matches, NC State men's soccer team hosts local Atlantic Coast Conference rival Duke Friday evening at Dail Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the match will be broadcast live on the ACC Network Extra.

APPROACHING ELITE COMPANY
With NC State's next win, the Wolfpack will claim the 500th victory in program history and become just the 31st NCAA Division I program to reach this mark.
LAST MATCH
Led by a comprehensive team effort that included eight players recording at least one point, the NC State men's soccer team cruised to a comfortable 4-2 victory over visiting Wright State (RPI 70) Tuesday evening inside Dail Soccer Stadium.
HOME STRETCH
Three of NC State's next four matches will be played at Dail Soccer Stadium. Broken up only by a trip to nationally-ranked Clemson on Oct. 8, NC State will host Duke (Sept. 30), High Point (Oct. 11), and Pittsburgh (Oct. 15).
KEEP UP THE PRESSURE
NC State has outshot its opponents by a 119-88 margin this season. The Wolfpack has recorded 51 shots on goal, while opponents have achieved 40.
FIRST POINTS FOR RETZLAFF
Redshirt sophomore Nick Retzlaff recorded the first assist of his career in the Sept. 20 win over Liberty. The Wake Forest, N.C., native assisted on teammate Julius Duchscherer's goal in the 78th minute. Exactly one week later, he added two more assists in the Sept. 27 win over Wright State.
