RALEIGH – The NC State men's golf team officially opens the 2016-17 season Sunday at the Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate at The Grove in College Grove, Tenn.

THE COURSE AND FORMAT
This weekend's tournament will be hosted by Middle Tennessee at The Grove, a Greg Norman signature course. For the purposes of the tournament, the course will play a par of 72 over 7,368 yards.

The tournament will feature golfers from 14 teams and includes 18 holes of golf on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Stephen Franken – NC State's lowest average score last season (71.8) as a freshman
Benjamin Shipp – Freshman ranked No. 1 junior golfer in class of 2016
Davis Richards – Sophomore posted three top-20 tournament finishes last season
Nolan Mills Jr. – Won one individual tournament last season as a freshman
Justin Hood – Recorded one top-five tournament finish last season as a freshman
