RALEIGH – For the eighth time in the last nine seasons, the NC State men's golf team is heading to the NCAA Regionals. The Wolfpack travels west to a place known by NC State fans for postseason success, Albuquerque, New Mexico, to compete in the 2016 Albuquerque Regional from May 16-18 at the Championship Course.

THE COURSE
Since it was officially opened in 1967, the Championship Golf Course has been one of the finest facilities of its kind nationwide. It has been nationally recognized by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the top 25 public courses in the country, and in 1991 was rated the best course in New Mexico. For the purpose of the 2016 NCAA Regional, the course will play a par of 72 over 7,562 yards.

NC STATE'S 2015-16 SEASON
The Wolfpack posted an impressive 120-45-3 record throughout the 2015-16 season and finished within the top three of a tournament field on six of 12 occasions. NC State golfers recorded seven top-five finishes in team tournaments and senior David Cooke claimed first place at the Wolfpack Spring Intercollegiate at Lonnie Poole Golf Course on April 17. Junior Jacob McBride claimed runner-up honors at the 2016 ACC Championship in New London, N.C., on April 24.

THE POSTSEASON PROCESS
The Albuquerque Regional is one of six 54-hole regional tournaments to be played around the nation May 16-18. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Division I Championship in Eugene, Oregon, May 27 – June 1.

Carter Page – NC State's active career leader in rounds played (122)
Jacob McBride – Tied for second at the 2016 ACC Championship
Stephen Franken – Team's stroke leader at 71.4 shots per round
