Softball Splits Twin Bill in DoubleTree RDU Invite

Wolfpack defeats Bryant, falls to Ohio
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State softball team split a pair of games Saturday afternoon in the DoubleTree RDU Invite at Dail Stadium. The Wolfpack defeated Bryant, 4-1, but fell to Ohio, 2-0, in the first game of the day.
NC State moves to 14-12 on the year, while Ohio improves to 13-7 and Bryant falls to 0-18.
Quick Hits (Versus Ohio)
- Ohio's Savannah Jo Dorsey turned in a standout pitching performance against NC State to lead her Bobcats to a 2-0 victory, the first time the Wolfpack has been shut out this season.
- Dorsey went the distance in the circle to earn her eighth win of the year, striking out 12 batters.
- Macauley Prickett had the lone hit for the Wolfpack.
- Ohio plated single runs in the fourth and sixth innings to record the victory.
- Courtney Mirabella started in the circle for NC State and pitched her ninth complete game of the season, allowing four hits and two earned runs with three strikeouts.
