Six Softball Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-ACC Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Six members of the NC State softball program were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
2026 marks the fourth consecuutive season the Wolfpack has landed six or more student-athletes on the academic team.
Hannah Church (sport management), Sarah Johnson (communications), Carly Short (management, first year), Kendall Simmers (biological sciences), Morgen Talley (religious studies) and Teagan Thrunk (sport management) all earned the honor from the Pack.
2026 marks the third time Thrunk has earned the honor in her career and the second time for both Church and Simmers. Johnson, Short and Talley all earned it for the first time.
To be eligible for the All-ACC Academic Team, student-athletes must be undergraduates who have been enrolled at their institution for at least one year, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, post at least a 3.0 GPA during each of the previous two semesters and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests during the most recent season.
